Entering a new season sometimes requires a wardrobe change. And since summer is upon us, it is the perfect time to bring the bright sunny-colored bags out. Take those strappy heels for a stroll and put the boots aside for now. So if you’re on the lookout for the latest offerings from Milanese brands, here’s a rundown of some shoe and bag collections from our favorite designers.

Bottega Veneta

Known best for their ‘intrecciato’ weaving technique, designer Daniel Lee continues to wow us with his modern interpretation on bags and shoes. For summer 2020, padded leather on shoes continues to grow strong for the brand.

Bags in supple Napa leather get a touch of wooden inserts, perfect for that tropical get-away. Their new signature pouches get an upgrade too with chunky chains.

Jimmy Choo

It’s an animal print party at Jimmy Choo – zebra clashed with leopard pony fur; lizard embossed skin versus python print.

Feathers are dominant on evening bags with sequins in fanning patterns – reminiscent of gracious hummingbirds. This collection is nothing short of glam and style.

Giuseppe Zanotti

Designer Giuseppe Zanotti goes the feminine approach for his latest collection. 3d floral embellishments of lilies and roses, either in leather or suede, even encrusted with crystals adorn strappy heels. Suede bows gracing the heels add a romantic touch to the footwear.

Leather bucket bags with iconic metal hardware come in bold colors while evening pouches utilize metallic python print leather.

Valextra

Simple, easy-to-carry streamlined bags are the newest offering from Valextra. Attention to ergonomic details likes magnetic handles and straps to avoid tangling proves why this brand has a cult following. Summer colors of powder blue, blush and white dominate the collection, with the eventual pop of black as its most accessible color.

Mia Becar

A local Italian shoe brand, Mia Becar is a vision of sultry and seductive footwear. Simple elegance with a subtle flair of sass, strappy heels with interesting heel silhouettes make up their summer collection. Intricate floral beading and romantic wraps of ribbon and bow adorn their highly feminine footwear.

Salvatore Ferragamo

Jelly sandals in yummy colors and fun sculptural heels definitely make summer worth looking forward to all because of Salvatore Ferragamo.

Apart from playful footwear, round tambourine handbags in ostrich leather takes center stage. Sunglasses are trimmed with leather textile and jewelry is made of twisted Murano-inspired acrylic glass.

Officina del Poggio

Known for their distinct oval shaped bags, designer Allison Hoeltzel Savini ventures into a neon-colored palette for her latest summer collection. Varying from plexiglass to leather textiles, this emerging brand also adheres to the sustainable movement in fashion. Picnic bags and evening clutches also come in raffia alternatives.
