Milan Digital Fashion Week: 14th – 17th July 2020 MOSCHINO: Menswear Spring/Summer 2021

Moschino is bringing back the 80’s with a playful and vibrant blast from the past. The SS21 men’s pre-collection designed by Jeremy Scott is wild and funky with a contrasting energetic color palette dominated by bold yellows and purples. Retro inspired graphics of UFO’s, geometric shapes, and celestial symbols with touches of slick hand drawn lines bring the looks together.

Made to pop with an exuberance of eccentricity, a range of looks from casual to formal wear can be seen in this collection. Scott puts together an attention worthy line-up of fun color-blocked sweater cords, jewel-toned formal wear, windbreakers, panel-striped varsity jackets and trench coats. Even the darker looks of the collection served as black canvases for striking colored graffiti of writings and astronomical figures which make up Moschino’s fun personality.

Fit to please both the more laid back wearers of the luxury brand to the more eccentric in style, the collection does not only stay within the confines of clothing. Scott always experiments on complementary accessories like tote bags, hats, fanny packs, backpacks, and footwear that also ranges from high tops to regular sneakers. The more formal ensembles take the serious right out of the suits and are brought alive with colors and animated patterns.

All and all, Moschino is proving that the dynamic and everlasting extreme fashion of the 80’s will always pop back into style. Bigger, bolder, and brighter than ever, the SS21 is sure to capture the hearts and attention of vintage seeking youngsters and nostalgic adults.
